Southwest Church Planting Network

Southwest Church Planting Network

The Southwest Church Planting Network is a cooperative work of PCA churches in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

In 1998 the Southwest Church Planting Network (PCA) was formed expand the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Southwestern United States. The Network is a Joint Subcommittee of four PCA Presbyteries – Houston Metro, North Texas, South Texas and Southwest. Together we represent the great Southwest: Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Already this pioneering ministry on the frontier of the PCA includes over 50 churches representing more than 16,000 members voluntarily coming together to fulfill our vision and mission. In the providence of God, this area is experiencing the kind of growth that calls for increased efforts in the fields that are ready for harvest. This area includes 4 of the 5 fastest growing large cities in America.

It is our vision to plant more than 75 new churches and initiate RUF ministries at all of the major colleges in the Southwest by the year 2020.

Our mission is to assist the four Presbyteries to strategically plant dynamic, faithful, outreaching churches, true to the scriptures in the southwestern states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma and to financially assist in starting new RUF college ministries on our college campuses.

As of the end of July 2010, the Network has started or materially assisted in the planting of 39 new PCA churches and supported the initiation of 9 new RUF ministries in the Southwest.
